Intended for use with modded insane difficulty playthroughs to make them more bearable and/or to reduce the urge to save-scum.īleedout timers and chances are completely customisable via the included XComBleedOutMod.ini and XComGameCore.ini config files. Yes, this does in fact make the game slightly easier, especially the early game.

Note that both the Vanilla game and this mod cap out at 100% Bleedout chance at 100 Will with Stay With Me. Note that the base Will of XCOM soldiers on all but the lowest difficulty is 40, so this means in the vanilla game Rookies, Squaddies and even some Corporals are physically incapable of bleeding out, even with Stay With Me, and will instantly die 100% of the time. Randomises the bleedout timer and increases the chances of XCOM operatives bleeding out rather than dying outright when they reach 0 HP, especially for lower ranking soldiers.ĥ0 Will and below: 0% chance to bleed out.
